Volunteers are a vital part of our organization. With their help, we are able to make our center a place where our animals are exercised, cared for and most importantly – loved.

You too can be a part of this mission and join a team of compassionate animal lovers.

A Little HouseKeeping

Cleaning is such an important part of a safe organization. This role would involve everything from dishes and laundry to vacuuming and emptying the trash. This position truly cannot be underrated!

Adoption Center Greeter

This position would involve greeting potential adopters on adoption days! You would walk them through the adoption process prior to handing them off to the adoption team.

Adoption Team

This role would be assisting our adoption coordinator in all aspects of adopting. You would prepare adopters for the process, answer questions and assist with meet and greets.

Cat Caretaker

In addition to playing with and socializing with the cats, the position involves cleaning the cats’ kennels (hands on work and scooping up of poop!). Hygiene control is very important, as is ensuring that the cats remain stocked up with food, water, bedding, and toys. This ensures they are as healthy and stress free as possible and greatly improves their adaptability.

Dog Walking

Dog walking is our most popular volunteer activity at the Adoption Center! All of our dog volunteers go through a training program. The program teaches volunteers how to help our homeless dogs learn behavior skills that will make them more adoptable. This position also helps our dogs receive sufficient physical and intellectual exercise, and keep them safe until they find their forever home.

Kennel Helper/Enrichment Program

This volunteer position involves a little bit of everything! The position involves cleaning and caring for the dogs (hands-on work hosing, feeding, filling water buckets, scooping up of poop, etc). Hygiene control is very important, as is ensuring that the dogs remain stocked up with food, water, bedding, and toys. It will also include working with the dogs through our enrichment program.

Social Media Guru

This is a remote position. We are looking for someone to help us post to our social media accounts. Volunteers and staff would send you videos and photos to post to our accounts.

Please note, we have limited openings for each position. Please email us if you are only interested in one position and we can advise if there is an opening.
